Find the FAO Code & EEZ for any Ocean Area

To support seafood commerce and reduce avoidable errors in enty filing, we have prepared a free, simple tool that generates the FAO areas and Exclusive Economic Zones for any fishing area. Enjoy!

OPTION 1: Select either 'FAO Areas' or 'Country EEZ', then click anywhere on the map for the name of the selected area.

OPTION 2: Enter coordinates in decimal form (e.g. -12.1132) or in Degree Minute Second (eg. -24 10' 13") with spaces between the numbers, then select 'FAO Areas' or 'Country EEZ'.
